Interesting mix, this one. A surreal little sitcom, based around Elis James as an unemployed homeowner who survives by doing competitions, his postman Milton Jones and Jo Joyner as his careers advisor. There's a couple of competing influences in this, with Jones' wordplay meshing well with the sound effects/music jokes that work so well in the radio field.
The surreal aspects jump in and out slightly, running up and down the scale from killer robots to steampunk. Occasionally this does mean the tone shifts dramatically, which is unfortunate as when it's at full flow it's fantastic.
Not "hysterical laughter" funny, but did keep me chuckling. Will definitely be listening to the rest of the series.
Highly recommended.
