An excellent book, using the Many Worlds model of the multiverse to set up a rattle-roaring thriller plot. Our unlucky protagonist is pulled into a parallel universe by his alternate, who is jealous of his life on the "the path not taken".
He's thrown onto a desperate quest to get his life back, requiring a jaunt through several parallel worlds (bit familiar to part of The Witcher 3, interestingly) and the challenge of defeating a version of him more prepared for a multi-world battle.
Might even manage to convince me to go back and take another look at "Pines", which I struggled with first time around.Highly recommended.
