This remake of a much earlier series, aims to be an anime version of "Needful Things", the excellent King story. It has a good starting premise, with Moguro as the eponymous salesman, giving people what they think they want. As might be expected, they find they don't really want it.
That should be the setup for some nifty twists, but the first episode was heavily flawed in that the "twist" is so obviously coming that you try to guess what it is. And then find your guesses are more interesting than the actual conclusion. If it can't pick up some depth and quickly, I'm unlikely to get past episode 3.
At least the unusual style is interesting though. It's far out from the norm and that makes it a reason to give it some scope. But it has to give me some real development or the style won't win out.
If it's on.
