There might be too much singing in this film. I know, I know, it's a Disney musical. But they're all a bit samey. Except maybe "You're welcome". He's easily the best thing in it. Almost gave up on the film during the starting island bit. Even the sea (hello Aladdin's carpet, again) got a bit schmaltzy.
Do sort of wished they hadn't made Moana, but instead gone with their original concept - Coconut Pirates: Fury Sea. (Featuring Furiana.) Could definitely have stood for a bit more of them.
Still, I can't really be surprised that it followed the Disney formula, and it wasn't completely terrible.
