This film is either excellent or I was clinically sleep deprived when I watched it.
It's one of those films I expect to be average, but it actually had some amazing comic moments. Little cutaway gags or Gilligan cuts that are always perfectly timed and put together. In particular, the pack of wolves are brilliant.
The wolves stand out, but almost all of the characters are enjoyable. I know the pigeon is meant to be annoying but it goes a little too far. If I hear "brah" one more time...
I was especially impressed by the family plot, as the usual "you will learn the value of family, or else" was skipped, and it was just cheery.
And it all wrapped up in a slightly sappy way, but nothing too egregious and it was worth it for the "quiet riot".
Highly recommended.
