Benedict Jacka - Bound

The most recent in the Alex Verus series has Alex facing his greatest fear, working once again for his old master, Richard Drakh, under the observation of a shadowy new Dark Mage, Archon and the smooth Morden.

A heck of a lot of plot happens in this book, compared to some of the previous, and you get the impression Jacka's beginning to work his way towards a conclusion. We finally get to see Richard in action, which only results in further questioning what sort of ruddy mage he is.

The series is still holding my interest, but especially because the audio book narrator is very good. I would normally grab an Urban Fantasy I've been waiting for and just crash through it in a couple of hours, but I very much enjoy the reading of these.

Recommended.
